As a woman in a male dominated industry, what has been the biggest challenge you have faced in your career, and how did you overcome it?
A woman in a male field, you have to constantly prove yourself to others and it is difficult to gain trust initially. In any situation we try to do our best to prove them wrong and build a good reputation along the way.
What inspired you to join this industry?
Firstly, the competition with the men and also the possibility to learn continuously. It is an exciting and evolving field where you can grow your knowledge daily.
What changes, if any, have you seen in your field with regards to women in your field?
More women are overcoming their fear of the STEM field and are more willing to follow the footstep of the women before them
How can we attract more women to consider a career in the STEM fields?
We can attract more women by having open platform where women in STEM can talk, show the passion and all exciting things that can be done in the field. Offer the opportunity and mentor program to all young women that want to learn.
If you were to advise other young women starting their careers in the tech or within the STEM fields, what is the one thing you would say to them?
Passion, discipline and resilience are the key to start, to stay and to grow in STEM careers.
When not working, what do you do for fun?
Piano practice, reading and writing.
